Healthy Hearts

If we are at school in the Summer Term, we will be learning about the human circulatory system. I was using my time at home to plan the lessons we might do so I was reading a lot about the human heart.
I watched this video.

Then I did a little experiment. I took my pulse like they did in the video. My resting heart rate was 60 beats per minute. I didn't take my pulse for a whole minute. I just took it for 15 seconds and multiplied it by 4.
Then I did this 5 minute workout.

Afterwards, I checked my pulse again and it had gone up to 157 beats per minute. Have a go yourself and let us know how your heart rate changes.
