Paradise

Hey Year 6,
We've written a description of a scene trying to include expanded noun phrases, figurative language and prepositional openers. Read it and then check back on Monday to see if the picture we were describing was similar to the one you had in your head. Could you write a description of somewhere you'd like to be right now?

In the foreground, pale soft yellow sand stretches off far into the distance. Not a soul can be seen. To the right of the beach, starts the lush thick jungle. The hissing, clicking and gibbering of the unseen forest residents provides a soulful music to accompany the paradise. You are not alone. From the jungle sprouts one tall palm tree; its fronds striking out for freedom towards the dazzlingly bright sun. The slender trunk of the palm tree snaking free and arching over the beach. Lapping gently at the sands are the cool blue azure waters of the ocean. Gentle waves break in white foamy ridges on the sands and the cool waters beckon you to cool off in its watery embrace.

Monday Update
Here's the picture we were describing. Was it like the picture in your head?
